Our heartfelt thanks to Rotary Club of Invercargill Sunrise and to Winton Rotary for funds raised, alongside Rotary District grants, towards much needed furniture and equipment at our Rwenjaza Hill Side School and our Bethel Babies Home.
An amazing team effort by the two clubs and living up to the Rotary theme for 2015-2016 to ‘Be A Gift To The World’
Prayers have been answered!
The FOP Team on the ground in Uganda have transport thanks to the recent donation for this purpose from an individual FOP NZ supporter. Not only will this motorbike be so valuable for the team as they travel to far away villages to follow up on reported child cases, it also means there is a mode of transport readily available to get a sick baby to a doctor or hospital
We now have 23 beautiful babies at our babies home…all rescued from tragic circumstances.
Three family based homes (bungalows) are in various stages of construction (thanks to FOP NZ, FOP UK and friends of FOP from USA); this means that soon some of our babies will be able to graduate from the babies home to live in a loving family home environment and all that that entails within the local village community.
Our zero grazing dairy unit has been completed; soon we will have our own cows providing our babies home with milk.
Our next self sustaining project that we are aiming for is a small poultry farm starting with 100 birds.
To all our supporters thank you so very much – all this amazing work could not happen without you. Be blessed!
