BREAKING NEWS!!!

A ONE MONTH OLD BABY HAS BEEN RESCUED FROM ABANDONMENT TO OUR SAFE HOME ON RWENJAZA HILL.

It is with great excitement, and thanks to God, that we announce the arrival of our first baby to our Bethel Babies Home in Uganda. Baby Connor (named by Peace Ruharuza) arrived into our care on Thursday.

He is a much anticipated, and already well loved, member of the FOP Family.

“You find families for those who are lonely” Psalm 68. 6a (CEV)

What a privilege to be part of this transformation for baby Connor; what a privilege for him to have a home and a family to belong to.

Thank YOU for your part in this. Your love, financial support, prayers and encouragement have played an enormous part in fulfilling the long held dream that Peace Ruharuza has carried to ‘provide centres of hope and transformation for orphaned and abandoned children’.

Connor is our ‘first born’.

As you can imagine the need is overwhelming. We know that there will be many more babies, orphaned or abandoned, who will join Connor at our babies home in the days, weeks and months ahead. They will come through referrals from police, probation and hospitals.

In essence our work has just begun.

Please pray for the FOP Uganda team and the new Mums as they enter this new phase of action and for Connor and the babies that will follow, that they will settle well into their new home knowing that they are loved and wanted.

If you would like to support the running of our babies home your donations would be warmly received. Every cent will make a difference.

Give A Child A Meal

Alt Text

As a result of so many children attending our FOP school without eating anything from their home we have started serving them porridge for lunch. Besides filling tummies this has resulted in reduced absenteeism and has encouraged more parents to send their children to school.

The cost for this feeding programme is NZ$600 per month.

Donations, or regular support, would be greatly appreciated to help us continue this much needed programme for up to 200 children.
